Lecturing and Teaching

  • Guest Lecturer and teacher

Other Activities:

  • My commitment to the Fiber Arts has lead me to serve for the past three years as the Scholarship Chairperson for the South Valley Quilt Association.  In this role I have contacted colleges in the Bay Area to identify students as candidates for scholarships which help them with the cost of their academic pursuits as fiber artists.  As an artist I believe in giving back to my community and helping emerging artists achieve their goals.

  • I have also served as the Chairperson for a children’s Quilt Camp.  I helped to develop a program for children to spend a week each summer to learn the art of quilting and its forms both traditional and artistic.  The camp is provided to the children at a nominal cost and scholarships are provided to those children whose families cannot afford the tuition.

  • As a volunteer I have taught children's art classes in both private and public school settings.  It is always a rewarding opportunity to work with children and introduce them to the wonderful world of their own creativity, artists, and art work.
